What We Do

We specialise in creating beautiful outdoor environments for schools, nurseries, public parks and domestic gardens.  We offer a complete service from a free initial consultation, through to the design process and the built landscape.  From our hard landscaping to planting schemes, we have high standards of workmanship and care. Using durable, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing materials, we pride ourselves on achieving an extra degree of finesse.
All our finished designs are fully compliant with current BS EN standards.

Outdoor Learning Environments

We build outdoor classrooms, wildlife & allotment gardens, as well as performance arenas and stages - all designed to help children enjoy learning outside of the formal classroom setting. We work closely with school staff to understand the purpose of each space before we begin the design. We create wildlife ponds, out-buildings, science gardens, work stations and more.

These range from small nursery projects, to large adventure playgrounds - and everything in between. We work by treating the space as a whole, resulting in holistic play environments that stimulate children's imagination, as well as their physical development. Our completed designs adhere to all BS EN guidelines, and are signed-off by Independent Playground Inspectors. Safety is paramount - yet we believe a controlled level of risk is important for a child's development.

Outdoor Classrooms

From simple seating circles set around trees, to small shelters, or large, weather-proof, full-size classrooms incorporating staging, seating, blackboards and tables. These can be used for a wide variety of school activities - from class lessons to school assemblies and performances, and from hubs for outdoor learning to one-to-one quiet spaces, or group story-telling, or just getting away from the everyday school environment.

Public Spaces

We work with Local Authorities, TRA's, park user and community groups to transform their public spaces. From play areas, community growing spaces, and nature gardens, to planters, ornamental trees, seating and outdoor furniture, we can offer a full range of services including design, landscaping, planting and maintenance. We understand tendering processes and are approved council contractors, fully embracing all aspects of best work practice and health & safety.

Private Gardens

From a free initial visit and consultation and the development of the client's wish-list and brief, through to a fully costed and completed design, our aim is to make whatever outdoor space you may have into a beautiful garden for you to enjoy for years to come.
With expertise in all aspects of hard & soft landscaping, we are skilled with a wide variety of materials and can develop planting schemes to suit any environment to give year-round colour and interest. We have a broad knowledge of horticulture and respect the natural world. From 'wild cottage' to high-end town gardens, courtyard spaces and front garden areas, no job is too big or small.
We are a trusted and friendly team, always taking the utmost care to treat your home with respect.

Design Process

Our design process starts with a free consultation and a visit to meet the client, where we assess the project space and confirm the  the client's brief. We then make a series of sketches, developing a range of ideas before we present a first draft proposal. Through further liaison and research, we fine-tune our concepts until the client is pleased with the design. Along with a detailed breakdown of costs, we present a layout plan and perspective drawings to the client for approval.

Maintenance & Inspections

We provide a comprehensive maintenance and safety inspection service for all aspects of playground equipment and installations.  Our specialist understanding of BSEN Play Safety Guidelines enables us to identify whether equipment is safe or not, and recommend repairs or alterations as necessary. We provide the client with a comprehensive report on the condition of their playgrounds, a detailed list of any maintenance requirements, plus a costing breakdown of our charges necessary to carry these out.
