Isla's Treehouse School Concept

Isla's Treehouse

A safe yet challenging space for children to play within a natural setting. The new structure has been used for children’s parties, sleepovers and simply as a beautiful spot to enjoy a morning coffee! Wild boar can be observed foraging in the leaves below, with crows and squirrels frequently visiting the decking area. Geese, ducks and chickens also roam free on the ground below – amid an array of wildflowers and bluebells – all of which can be enjoyed, with 360-degree views from the platform. Before we began the main construction, we carefully attached specialised tree bolts – a heavy-duty, low impact system designed to allow the tree to grow naturally, moving freely in strong winds.

Brief

To create a fun and beautiful treehouse set within an existing woodland, carefully designed to protect the large oak tree on which it’s built.
