Adventure Playground

We replaced a dated and under-used playground with a new design – creating a more challenging, imaginative and exciting area. Comprising play towers linked by a ropewalk Jungle Bridge – with platforms decks offering various routes up and down. Play elements include balance beams, scramble net, ladder, carved log steps, fire pole and a recycled slide. The undercroft of the main play tower has a quiet seating den and secret play tunnel space. We landscaped the surrounding area to include play mounds – with the wider area neatly carpeted in play-grade artificial play turf – this was laid over an impact absorbent shock pad surface, making a safe, durable, and low-maintenance surface. We also included monkey rings –  popular with the children and great for developing strength, co-ordination, and confidence. At the quieter end of the space, we made a long, terraced bench for informal seating and group activities.
